Greetings from your Vice-President
First, I would like to thank Ruby Lovett and the UWF ladies at Crystal Springs New Zion for graciously hosting our District Mission u on August 17th. While we were few in number, we were great in spirit. The active participation among members made the meeting even more enjoyable.
Our study/book for the meeting was entitled Welcome Home by Noemi Fletcher. It explores how we can know God as an intimate friend who welcomes us. Abiding in God’s safety and dwelling in God’s provision allows us to open our hearts to a fuller embrace of the power and presence of God so that we may find our home in God.
The study is designed for 8 one-hour sessions, but our time at District Mission u was limited to two hours. Therefore, there is much more to explore within the study/book. I think it would be a good program resource for local units.
The District Leadership Team mailed letters and invitations to all 63 churches in Dis-trict 7. The letters were directed to the UWF (United Women of Faith) at the church. If you are reading this and did not receive a letter, please check with your church office or the person who receives the mail. As a leadership team, it is our desire to encourage or rekindle participation in UWF and to let all the women in our district know of upcoming opportunities.
I hope to see all of you at the District Annual Meeting.
Yvonne Howell
